Membership Fees

Hikari Dojo is pleased to offer substantial savings for beginners and families, and provides numerous training opportunities.

Adults	$80 monthly
Teens (ages 13-19)	$65 monthly
Juniors (ages 8-12)	$60 monthly
Family Rate	When two or more members of a family join, then each member receives a 10% discount on their monthly dues.
Single class mat fee for visitors	$15 per class

Dojo Registration Fees

In keeping with the standards of O'Sensei’s original dojo in Iwama Japan, Hikari Dojo of Contra Costra has a registration fee. Hikari dojo is officially recognized by: the California Aikido Association, the world Headquarters Aikikai Hombu Dojo in Tokyo, Japan, and the Ibaraki Shuren Dojo and Tanren Dojo in Iwama Japan. The present Doshu, Moriteru Ueshiba the grandson of O’Sensei, will authorize ranking of first-degree black belt and above. Members of Hikari Dojo who are in good standing may avail themselves of all official dojo activities, and represent themselves in the worldwide Aikido community as members of Hikari Dojo. Students who are in good standing are eligible to receive rank and promotion.

Getting Started

Joining Hikari Dojo presents students with many learning opportunities. Beginning with the first class, new members are introduced to the Philosophy that underlies Aikido practice. New students are also introduced to the etiquette and customs commonly found in Aikido dojos in Japan and around the world. Special care is taken to ensure that new students receive personlized attention as they take their first steps on the path of Aikido. Mastery in Aikido is dependent upon a strong foundation, therefore beginners are carefully guided as they start stretching, learning how to roll, and perform new techniques.

Beginners can easily join Hikari Dojo with our "getting started package". At Hikari dojo there are no annual membership fees.

DUES POLICY
All dues, ACH charges, registration and fees are non refundable.

TERMINATION POLICY FOR AUTOMATIC/RECURRING PAYMENTS (ACH)
We are not responsible for students who do not actively inform us about removal from ACH. The customer is solely responsible to contact us in writing via U.S. Mail with a valid signature of the primary contact of the account, account name and a reason for cancellation. This must be received three weeks before the next charge is made. Charges are made on the first of every month. The customer shall receive confirmation that we have canceled their ACH.
